What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a branch of the healing arts which is based on the body's ability to heal without the use of drugs and surgery. We have a universal energy, this energy creates and maintains life. This life energy is transmitted through your nervous system. Chiropractic care targets the spinal column and specifically the vertebra which encases this precious nervous system. By maintaining the correct biomechanical and anatomical relationship the nervous system is allowed to work free of disruption. Chiropractic manipulation restores the biomechanical and anatomical relationship back to normal to allow your nervous system to work at its full capacity.

What is Applied Kinesiology?

Applied Kinesiology is a specific technique that factors in the structural, chemical, and mental aspects of health. This specific system of diagnosis and treatment uses manual muscle testing to diagnose the cause of your health problem. This technique is invaluable to give you the best treatment plan, and to care for your specific health problem.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture started in China centuries ago. This ancient healing art deals with the body's energy. Acupuncture graphing is done is my clinic. The graphing we use is called Ryoruraku. This was developed by the Japanese doctor Nakatani. This graph helps me to determine how to balance the energy in your body. Acupuncture treats nearly 2000 conditions and has been successful for many centuries.

What do nutritional supplements help with?

Nutritional supplementation is an intimate tool used in Applied Kinesiology. With the American diet full of processed carbohydrates, artificial sweeteners, additives and so on we need quality supplements to give our bodies the nutrition to function normally. Nutritional supplementation is used to help with acute inflammation, bowel function, muscle spasm, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal fatigue, fibromyalgia, arthritis, dyspepsia and many other conditions. A nutritional consult visit is a key step to attaining wellness. Nutritional supplements sold at Johnson Chiropractic & Acupuncture are top of the line products, and use the best raw material to improve the effectiveness of the product. Ask our office today about a nutritional visit and start on the road to wellness.

What is Low Level Laser and how does it help my condition?

Low level laser, or cold laser is one of the newest and most promising physical therapy modalities on the market today. The cold laser emits a laser with a specific frequency of 635 nanometers. This frequency is matched to the frequency of light emmited when cell regeneration occurs in our body. Introducing laser frequency into the specific malfunctioning tissue results in an increase in mitochondrial production and cell regeneration. This modality is used on professional athletes, in fact Lance Armstrong's chiropractor Dr. Jeff Spencer used the Erchonia laser during the Tour de France in each of Lance's victories.

What is Ionic Cleanse?

Ionic Cleanse helps withdraw toxins stored in your body. This machine creates an ionically charged potential through an array to pull the toxins from your tissues. You place your feet in a water bath where an array is placed. This array is what creates this ion potential. Your feet are placed in the water bath for 2 reasons, they have the largest pores in your body and with the stress of gravity many toxins end up in your feet. This advanced detoxification procedure will allow your body to rid itself of toxins that are now in our air, water, and food. Many patients feel less fatigue, have less sickness, and in general feel better after an ionic cleanse cycle.

Do I have to come back for the rest of my life?

This is your decision. Wellness care, similar to going to your dentist helps your body function at its highest capacity. There are different models of care.

Acute Care

Otherwise know as condition based care. When the problem you came in to the clinic with is gone, that is the end of your treatment. You can come back when something else comes up.

Maintenance Care

This model of care will take over after your initial problem is corrected, or you may come in to start a maintenance care program. You will want to come in for an appointment about once every 1 to 2 months for a so called tune-up. This helps to keep your body functioning well.

Wellness Care

This care is after your initial problem is fixed, or you may come in to start a wellness care program. We will do extensive testing to find out the internal function and state of health. We will use applied kinesiology, chiropractic care, nutritional supplementation, ionic cleanse, and laser therapy to optimize your health.

What schooling must you attend to become a chiropractor?

Chiropractors must go through a very intense doctorate program of study. Chiropractic college is a 5 year program usually condensed into 3 years. Most colleges have either quarters or trimesters where students attend college year round. This intense study must be passed along with 4 parts of a national board test.
