Dr. Kirk Johnson

Dr. Kirk C. Johnson is a multi-disciplinary chiropractor who practices in Overland Park, Kansas. He is certified in Applied Kinesiology (AK), a Fellow in the Acupuncture Society of America, and a board certified Doctor of Chiropractic.
Dr. Johnson has postgraduate education in Applied Kinesiology (AK), Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Erchonia cold laser therapy, Homeopathy, Allergy Elimination, Clinical Nutrition, Supplementation, and Physiotherapy.
Dr. Johnson has learned from some of the foremost Doctor's of Chiropractic, Applied Kinesiologists, and Acupuncturists in the United States. Dr. Johnson attained his Applied Kinesiology certification with diplomates Dr. Lou Boven and Dr. Alan Zatkin in St. Louis, Missouri. He also studied under diplomates Dr. Katharine Conable and Dr. Bert Hanicke at Logan College. He studied Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine with the father of American Acupuncture Dr. Richard Yennie. Dr. Johnson completed his preceptorship with Dr. Evan Mladenoff who served as the head alternative team physician for the Kansas City Chiefs. Dr. Johnson is a member of the International College of Applied Kinesiology, Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, and a steering committee member with Johnson County Young Professionals.
Dr. Johnson enjoys treating patients of all ages. His practice includes professional and collegiate athletes as well as infants and seniors. He believes in a Holistic approach to health care no matter the condition. Balancing the structure, mental, and chemical aspects of the body lead to a state of superior health.
Prior to receiveing his Doctor of Chiropratic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in December 2005, Dr. Johnson attained his Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from Kansas State University. While at Kansas State Dr. Johnson was honored with Commissioner's Honor Roll status while competing in Big 12 athletics. Dr. Johnson served as President of the Applied Kinesiology club and student representative for Nutri-West and Erchonia while at Logan College.
Dr Johnson enjoys spending time with his wife Callen, daughter Reece, and son Caden. The family travels to Lake of the Ozarks every chance they get to enjoy many watersports activities along with great family time. The family loves to be outside doing just about anything!
Jessica Revelle, LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist)

Jessica is a 2008 graduate from the Massage Therapy Training Institute (MTTI) in Kansas City, MO, and she also has a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Baker University. Jessica was awarded an Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for maintaining a 4.0 during her training, along with the Personal Achievement Award for demonstrating outstanding personal growth, confidence, technique, professionalism, and dedication. She is a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP), and nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork.
Jessica's expertise in massage for stress reduction, pain relief, deep tissue, Swedish massage, Sports massage, neuromuscular therapies, Eastern bodyworks, fertility enhancement, and pregnancy is a complementary addition to the chiropractic and acupuncture services offered at Johnson Chiropractic and Acupuncture. Her passion for massage and the beneficial effects it has on the body drives Jessica to continue learning and mastering distinctive techniques to help create the most therapeutic experience for her clients. Jessica focuses on the client/therapist relationship to ensure her clients are at ease and are receiving quality therapy that will improve their overall health.
Debora Barrett

Debora Barrett serves as the Holistic Nutrition Consultant for Dr. Johnson's office. In 2009 Debora graduated with honors from Clayton College of Natural Health receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition. Debora provides education and guidance on how to implement a healthy lifestyle for each individual's situation. Family nutrition, anti-oxidant/phytochemical-rich diets, anti-fungal diets, clean eating, along with healthy recipes and meal planning, are some examples of the knowledge Debora has to offer her clients. Debora strongly believes that healthy food and a healthy lifestyle do not need to be boring and unfulfilling, but rather the opposite.
Formerly a music teacher and private vocal coach, Debora has experience communicating with and teaching all age groups. Along with nutritional consultation, Debora also offers Diaphragmatic Breathing Therapy to people who want to bring harmony to the body through deep breathing. Debora's vision is to help people find their potential in life through better health by providing insight and education to create a more productive lifestyle. She is currently working on her Masters degree in Holistic Nutrition and certification in Iridology.
Debora has been interested in natural living since a young age. Growing up with health challenges caused her to dig deeper into nutrition and to develop a personalized lifestyle to fit her needs.
She enjoys cooking, decorating, jogging, hiking, gardening and especially performing music gigs with her husband Mark.
Emily Berryman, LMT, CKTP
Emily Berryman is the newest team member at Johnson Chiropractic and Acupuncture. Emily is a Licensed Massage Therapist in Overland Park, KS. She prides herself on her ability to care and listen to the needs of others. She is well versed in anatomy and physiology, pathology, and several different massage techniques. Emily believes in tailoring a massage towards the individual needs of each client by using multiple modalities to get the best results possible.
Emily began her formal education at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD graduating with a degree in English Literature. She worked in Corporate America for 9 years before attending Blue Ridge Healing Arts Academy in Concord, NC. Here she completed a 700-hour program to become a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist. Her latest endeavor led her to become a Certified Kinesio Taping Professional.
In 2002, she opened her own business, Blue Water Healing Arts, in Storm Lake, IA. There she worked with many people from infants to the elderly to athletes of all ages. Emily then relocated to the Overland Park area in 2005, where she worked for a Nationwide Athletic Company. She was honored multiple times with the coveted National “Artstry” award based on satisfaction, repeat clientele, and earnings. Some of the common problems she worked on with her clients were headaches, muscle tension, carpal tunnel, sports injuries and prevention, and fibromyalgia.
Emily provides the type of massage that is most beneficial to you – whether it be to recover from an injury, reduce everyday aches and pains, or to simply escape from day to day stress. With her nurturing touch, she has had the honor of pleasing thousands of satisfied and very loyal clients over the years, and she looks forward to working with you.
